Saving Your Frequent Locations
Saving Your Frequent Locations
Saved locations let you name the places you visit often — like "Home," "Office," or "Gym." When a trip starts or ends
near a saved location, SmartMiles uses that name in the trip summary instead of a raw street address.
Adding a saved location
1. Go to Settings > Saved Locations.
2. Tap Add Location.
3. Search for the address or place name.
4. Give it a label (e.g., "Home," "Downtown Office," "Client - Acme").
5. Tap Save.
How saved locations are used
- Trip summaries — Instead of showing "123 Main St, Austin, TX" your trip will show "Home" as the start or end point.
This makes your trip list easier to scan.
- Manual trips — When adding a trip manually, you can pick from your saved locations instead of typing an address.
- Frequent Trip Rules — Rules created from trips that match saved locations are easier to understand (e.g., "Home →
Office" instead of two street addresses).
Matching radius
SmartMiles matches a trip's start or end point to a saved location if it falls within about 100 meters. You do not need
to be at the exact GPS coordinate — being in the general vicinity is enough.
Editing or deleting a saved location
Go to Settings > Saved Locations, tap on the location, and make your changes. Deleting a saved location does not affect
trips that already used it — those trips keep the name that was assigned when they were recorded.
